I've been following the week long series "Silent Warriors" the TODAY show is doing on the Navy SEALs. They've shot a lot of footage right here in Coronado at the training facility. Today they profiled 4 wives of SEALs in a wonderful story about what it's like to be married to these men. I've been a military wife my entire adult life and a military brat before that. I am still amazed by these women! It's one thing to have your spouse deploy on a ship for six months. With the modern email and communication it's pretty easy to stay in touch. It a completely different story to have him kiss you goodbye not knowing where he is going... for how long or when the next time you will get to communicate with him might be. The only thing I CAN'T imagine being more than a SEAL... is a SEAL's wife! So, to all of you... thank you! Thank you for what you do to support your husbands so they can do what they do for our country!
On another note... I was pleasantly surprised to see that one of the moms on the program was one of my clients! :) I had the privilege of photographing both her maternity and newborn session last year! I've included a picture from the session and here is a link to the TODAY Show video. :)
