First, if you sent me a New Client Inquiry on or about Tuesday, June 9th PLEASE go to the website and re-send it OR email me at info@just-hatched.com.  There was a glitch in the delivery program through the website and I know at least a couple disappeared into cyberspace!  I apologize for the inconvenience!

Secondly, I wanted to let everyone know that I will be out of the studio from June 11th until June 22nd.  I'm off to my 20 Year High School Reunion!  The best way to reach me is via email but I will periodically check the phone for messages.

Miss L... sooo cute! ♥ San Diego Maternity, Newborn & Children Photographer

One of my good friends had to move last month but before she did I FINALLY had the opportunity to photograph her daughter.  I knew it wouldn't be an easy task... Miss L is a very serious little lady... but I knew it would be amazing if I was able to get her to open up to me.  Little did I know all it would take was a pink tutu and a tiara!

I finally have some pictures to share with all of your of our display up at The Royal Nursery in the Del Mar Highlands Town Center!  I just love this store and I'm so honored to have some images displayed in the windows there.  The selection in the store is amazing and Mark (the owner) goes out of his way to make shopping for baby a great experience.  Whether you are looking for a gift or something for your own baby I recommend you check out The Royal Nursery!  Also, every quarter we have a drawing from customers at the store and give away a FREE PETITE DIGITAL COLLECTION!  So stop by and check out the selection and be sure to fill out an entry slip for our drawing! 

Oh... almost forgot... they have a website (www.theroyalnursery.com) but I prefer going into the store.  Everything is arranged so beautifully it's fun to see.  If you are looking for cute headbands accessories for your portrait session... I love their headbands with the flowers on them!

North Park Arts Festival a Success! ♥ San Diego Maternity Newborn Photography

We had a great day out at the Arts Festival in North Park this past Sunday!  We met lots of great people and so many people came up just to make nice comments on the pictures.  I tell you what I learned though... SOMETHING was going on last Thanksgiving!  I don't know what it was but the result is that there are lots of people expecting little boys this August!  Within 20 minutes I met 3 pregnant ladies all due in August with boys!

Thanks again to everyone who stopped by and we will be contacting the winner of the Free Petite Digital today!  For those of you who picked up one of our special offer postcards... you have until October 15th to take advantage of that great savings!

At the very last minute I decided to participate in the North Park Festival of Arts Street Fair that will be taking place this Sunday (May 17th) from 10 AM until 6 PM.  I'm excited about the opportunity to meet new people and talk to them about my favorite subject... my "job"!  :)  If you are in the area please stop by and say hello and be sure to pick up one of the special offer postcards we will be handing out.  This is the BIGGEST discount we've ever offered off of the digital collections and when the cards are gone... that's IT!  Not that you need any other reason to come other than to say hi to me... Check me out on the Mamarazzi Knows Best Site!

Click HERE to see an article written on Just Hatched Photography by Suzette Valle from the Mamarazzi Knows Best blog.  I had the pleaseure of photographing her daughter  Bianca a couple of months ago.  Suzette does a wonderful service to parents (especially parents of teen) by keeping up with what is hot among the kids today.  I always enjoy reading her articles!  However, you can tell by my picture why I prefer to be on the OTHER side of the camera!  :)

G-Beauty Website Launch Party

I just wanted to let you all know that my friend and building mate, Gretchen English of G-Beauty, is having a web site launch party this Friday, May 1st!  Gretchen is a wonderful esthetician in the suite downstairs from me.  Her new website should be up and running in the next day or so and can be found at www.g-beauty.com.  I had fun helping her out with some of the pictures for the website!

Just Hatched Onomics & Petite Session News!

Speaking of the economy... while it seems things might be looking up, everyone is still a bit nervous.   So... what to do???  Babies don't wait for the economy to get better to grow up, so portraits really are NOT something you can put off!  I've recently been paying attention to everyone from fast food places to car dealerships who are trying to give their clients the best experience and VALUE for their money.  I think that is a great idea and would like to follow suit.  While I've been fortunate to have stayed consistantly busy, I decided to take a look at where I can save money and in turn pass that saving on to YOU!   I've reconfigured the collections (yes, again!) to be able to offer you more value for the money you spend.  I've also tried to look at what clients say they really love and keep, or increase, those items while taking out other, less popular, items.  If you haven't asked for a rate sheet recently, please email me at info@just-hatched.com for the updated rates.  

The BIG news of the day is the change to the Petite Sessions.  I've scrapped the whole Petite Session system from before and started over!  30 minute Petite Sessions can now be scheduled any time Monday-Friday.  These sessions are perfect for toddlers and older children!  However, I do not recommend Petite Sessions for newborn babies (under 12 weeks) because of their unpredictable nature.  :)  Please contact us for all the details on the new Petite Sessions!

All these changes do not change the fact that I can still only schedule a limited number of sessions per week.  So... if you are interested in booking a session, please call right away!

Finally, I want to show off a picture of Miss Izzy!  I have been photographying her since she was in her mommy's belly and now she is turning 3!  I can't believe it!  I really LOVE this picture of her... it is so "her"!

Catching up!

Well, I've been back from Paris a few weeks and it's been a constant "Catch Up" since I came home!  I've been doing quite a few sessions and wanted to post just a few favs while I was thinking about it.  I'll try to post some more later in the week.  There are lots of exciting things coming up!
